About This Work

Carved approximately thirty-five years ago by Nozomu Mori for an exhibition of the Shiga Buddhist Sculpture Association, this Shō Kannon Bodhisattva is one of more than ten Shō Kannon sculptures created by the artist.

Carved c. 1991. Approximately seven examples are currently known to exist.
